MAKING PROCESS



HI everyone……

Are you ready to learn something nice? Well, in our life, we should know how to make ‘Kuih-Muih’ at least one of them. It is our specialty if we know how to make it and show to the people.

If we observe carefully on how our family cook ‘Kuih-Muih’, we will find out that the way to make 'Kuih-Muih' is not difficult at all. We can just learning by watching them make the ‘Kuih-Muih’ and we will catch quickly the flow to make it.

We should always set in mind that Kuih-muih is easy to be made by anyone who are interested. We just need to be patient, hardworking, and happy in making 'Kuih-Muih' to avoid boredom and doing half way.

For the first start, let’s us altogether make the simple and attention-grabbing of ‘Kuih-Muih’. But, do remember!!! If we want to follow the recipe, we need to prepare the ingredients exactly like what the recipe wants.

Recipe to make Kuih Tepung Pelita:




Ingredient
Bottom layer:
·         1 cup rice flour
·         1 cup sugar
·         5 cup water
·         pinch of salt and lime (kapur makan)
Top layer:
·         4 level tbsp rice flour
·         4 cups thick coconut milk
·         Pandan juice (4 pandan leaves blended with a little bit of water) – I used few drops of pandan emulco
·         pinch of salt
Method
1.  Prepare banana leaf boat by cutting into 9×12 cm rectangles and folding it into boats. Fasten with stapler or toothpicks. (For step by step on how to make this boat please click here)
2.  Arrange banana boats onto a tray. Place 1 teaspoon of sugar in each boat.
3.  For bottom layer, place rice flour, water, pandan juice, salt and lime in pan a saucepan and mix well. Cook over a medium heat until thick and translucent. Spoon the mixture into banana boat until 3/4 full. Set aside.
4.  For the top layer, put all ingredients into a pot and stir until smooth. Cook over low heat until mixture thickens. Spoon the cooked top layer over the green bottom layer.
5.  Set aside to cool.


For the better cooking, we must have assistants to help us in making delicious Kuih-Muih. So that, we won’t feel lonely and at the same time, we can reduce our tension doing alone and have conversations with them to. It is also aim to reduce the time of preparing ‘Kuih-Muih’.
